Cultural heritages are increasingly adopting digitization. The dissemination of cultural heritage is often through digital surrogates of cultural artefacts and virtual reconstruction from existing analogue resources. Anthropomorphism of technology has reduced the psychological distance with the uncanny digital replicas, blurring the distinction between imagination and reality. As digital replicas are presented as realistic reproductions of the physical counterparts, Analog Echoes attempts to examine the correspondence between documentative reconstructions and the physical site as they estranged from reality and engage into abstraction.
